Ensuring the Wilma platform's scalability, agility, and cost-efficiency is a key priority for Visma. Wilma, a platform used in nearly every school in Finland for education administration and communication between schools, students and guardians, required a robust foundation to support its widespread use. Vuono Group supported the platform’s migration to AWS Cloud. We helped the team build the AWS infrastructure and implement migration solutions, ensuring a seamless transition to the cloud.
The Challenge
Traditional virtual machine environments proved inadequate for ensuring the Wilma platform's scalability. A solution was needed to guarantee the platform could continue to effectively serve its extensive user base across Finland.

Our deep understanding of AWS Cloud reinforced the design and implementation of the migration solutions and the end infrastructure. Together with the team, we built the AWS infrastructure around Elastic Kubernetes Service to ensure a smooth transition and strong foundations for the platform’s future.
Vuono Group also provided hands-on training sessions for Wilma engineers to gain a comprehensive understanding of both Kubernetes and AWS, ensuring that the expertise of these engineers meets the requirements of the Wilma platform in the future.
