Joona Saaresto joins Vuono Group

Joona Saaresto joins Vuono Group as a Software Developer and Business Engineer.

Meet Joona, a member of the Vuono Group team. With a rich background in logistics & supply chain, finance apps, and high-end real estate, Joona is a seasoned full-stack developer who thrives on creating seamless processes through great design and user-centric flows.

As a consultant, he embraces the ever-changing landscape of technology, staying open-minded to face new challenges and master unfamiliar technologies. In his next venture, Joona plans to embark on a side project using a new language, such as Go, adding another skill to his impressive repertoire.

In his career, Joona has often found truth in the saying, “Hard times teach you well”. For example, he recently dived deeper into Google Cloud Platform and Pulumi (Infrastructure as Code) to navigate a challenging situation.

“At Vuono Group, my colleagues always support me if I’m stuck, and I help them in return. Our clients run interesting businesses and employ competent people — it is a pleasure to collaborate with them,” Joona says about Vuono Group as a workplace.

Joona's academic journey has equipped him with a Master's degree in Economics, majoring in Supply Management, and a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting. In his minor studies, Joona learnt business analytics, and his journey to full-stack developer went from UX design and front-end development. He says that great mentors and learning by doing have led him to where he is today as a software developer.

“I have a love-hate relationship towards code. I might bang my head to the wall for simple problems for several hours, but when I get the code working, it is the best feeling in the world,” Joona describes the nature of his work.

Joona’s hobbies range from creative outlets like photography to mountain biking and martial arts, specifically Krav Maga.
