Maija Routila joins Vuono Group as a Software Engineer.
Maija combines full-stack engineering with a strong eye for design and experience in large-scale management systems. Before joining Vuono Group, she built software at Google Finland and Insta, working on everything from secure, resource-constrained devices and Wear OS wearables to VPN technology and polished user interfaces.
She holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, both from Aalto University.
Maija was drawn to Vuono Group by its multidisciplinary environment, where she gets to solve real customer problems holistically yet hands-on. Alongside that, she values the chance to learn a wide variety of skills from experienced colleagues.
"I wanted my work to matter to the businesses I work with. To me, this means solving the real, sometimes difficult to phrase problems customers are facing, not just building something in a vacuum", she says.
At Vuono Group, Maija builds the solutions and applications that bring data and AI people’s daily work, from the user experience design to the code behind it. Her aim is simple. Solutions should be enjoyable to both use and look at.

Outside of work, Maija rarely leaves home without a knitting project and a book, and always has a new project on the go, whether in food, crafts, tech or sports.
