Vuono Group acquires Valuemotive Oy, a consultancy specialising in AI and data

We are delighted to announce the acquisition of Valuemotive Oy, a company specialising in the development of artificial intelligence and data services. Valuemotive's latest financial statement reported a turnover of 3 million euros, with over half of the revenue currently generated from international markets.

With this acquisition, we significantly enhance our expertise in data and artificial intelligence. Notably, a quarter of Valuemotive Oy's technical experts hold doctoral degrees in data and artificial intelligence research, reflecting the high level of specialisation within the team.

In addition to the talent acquisition, we gain rights to Varis AI, a unique Finnish-language ontology tool—one of the world's few. Varis AI addresses the limitations of the latest language model (LLM) services, such as ChatGPT and Google Bard, when a language-based model is not optimal for efficient problem-solving in business or when an accurate ontological model for AI needs to be described for Finnish-language datasets.

Prior to the acquisition, Valuemotive's majority owner was the founder and CEO, Pekka Lehti, who will continue with the company after the acquisition. The company's employees also held minority ownership.
