Markus Häkkinen joins Vuono Group

Markus Häkkinen joins Vuono Group as a Business Engineer.

Markus is a versatile problem-solver who combines a strong technical background with business analytics expertise. He excels at turning complex data into actionable insights and bridging the gap between engineering and commercial value.

Before joining Vuono Group, Markus built a strong engineering background in high-stakes environments as a researcher at Aalto University, where he worked on integrating the design and operation of cruise ship energy systems for Meyer Turku and Royal Caribbean Cruises. These experiences sharpened his ability to identify inefficiencies in large-scale, complex systems. He has also gained hands-on experience in manufacturing automation at Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Markus holds a Master of Science in Control, Robotics, and Autonomous Systems from Aalto University. He is currently pursuing further studies in Business Analytics at Aalto University School of Business.

Markus is currently working on a process analytics and automation project for a large pension insurance company. His expertise in Power BI, Power Automate, and data integrations allows him to build tools that drive operational efficiency and business value.

Outside of work, Markus is always interested in food from around the world and has lately become interested in darts.
